It’s happening: WHO RIDES THE WORLD is running!
This month RISER is dedicating their support to women motorcyclists around the globe! With our initiative WHO RIDES THE WORLD we will be highlighting female riders, female clubs, female festivals and other great initiatives by women who all share passion for motorcycles. But we also want to involve YOU: we want the whole community to participate and you will have the chance to WIN! (read here for more info). Make sure to stay tuned over the course of the next weeks.
Today we have the pleasure of introducing the Litas Algarve!
The Litas Algarve is one of many branches of the world-wide network called The Litas. The Litas were founded in 2015 with the idea of connecting “moto-obsessed” women all around the world. Today they are located in more than 33 countries, 160 cities with 4000 members, so wherever your travels take you, you can always catch up with the Litas on the road. RISER got in contact with The Litas in Algarve, Portugal to get a closer look at their mission and activities.
The Litas Algarve are celebrating their 1st birthday on the 18th of May! They started as a group of 6 members after connecting through Instagram. Now they are counting 30 women with an age range between 25 and 65.
What is the motto of the group?
Every lady has her own individual motto… but freedom is something that connects us! All of us would like to just ride all day long, 200 km or more and we all like challenges! And laughing of course!
Why is driving in a group better?
The way we see it, girls encourage each other and that way they improve their skills. We share adventures together and we help each other! We grow together!
What is your favorite route for a group ride? And why?
Algarve is magical! We have the sea, mountains and a river. As long as we are on the road riding, every road is perfect! Of course we prefer the country roads, not the highway, so we can see the landscape, smell flowers, feel the air and there are lots of curves!
What would you like all women to know?
Ladies! If you want something, believe in yourselves and do it! Just ride!
