Hayley Bell is the founder of the Women Riders World Relay, the world’s largest motorcycle relay. She is a passionate rider and we are proud to support her initiative, that she has founded the to “ignite a global sisterhood of inspirational women to promote courage, adventure, unity and passion for biking from all corners of the world and do something that’s never been done before to this scale”. The Women Riders World Relay is a global community of courageous female bikers. We have written about the riders of The Break Fast Club riding part of the Relay on the Journal already.
To support the Female Riders Movement, we are featuring Hayley on our Journal for our campaign, “Who Rides The World”. This time we asked her 5 questions about her love for riding.
How and when did you start biking?
I started riding 4 years ago.
What is your life’s motto?
“A ship in the harbour is safe, but that’s not what ships a built for” I try and live by this, though it often gets me into trouble lol!
Why is driving in a group better?
I love riding solo and group riding. Making friends, sharing that “feeling” and also having headspace when you’re on a solo ride!
What is your favorite route for a group ride? And why?
Hmmm, good question. I fell in love with the A99 through Scotland and heading over towards the commando memorial, so I will go with that one!
What would you like all women to know?
That they are capable of much more than they realise. Believe in yourself, be kind and be real!
