The wait is officially over: Android Auto support for Cardo Ride is now live!
Whether your motorcycle features a factory-installed dashboard display or you use a compatible handlebar smart screen, Android users can now enjoy the full Cardo Ride experience on the big screen. Designed specifically for riders, the high-contrast interface keeps your key visual routing and navigation tools right in your line of sight.

This update brings your favorite motorcycle navigation features directly to your bike’s cockpit:
- Active Navigation & Routing: Get clear, high-visibility turn-by-turn prompts, active route guidance, and real-time speed limit indicators directly on your display.
- Launch Pre-Planned Routes: Plan your dream trip on your computer using our Web Routeplanner. As soon as you connect to your bike, your saved routes automatically sync and are ready to launch with a single tap.
- Direct Tracking Control: Prefer to just ride and record your mileage without a fixed destination? Easily start, pause, and manage your ride tracking straight from the dashboard—keeping your smartphone safely stored away.
How to Set Up Cardo Ride on Android Auto
Getting started with Android Auto is quick and simple (available for Cardo Ride Pro users):
- Update the App: Head over to the Google Play Store and ensure your Cardo Ride App is updated to the latest version.
- Connect to Your Bike: Pair your Android smartphone with your motorcycle’s display system using a USB cable or wireless Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connection.
- Launch Cardo Ride: Once Android Auto boots up on your display, tap the Cardo Ride icon to open your navigation layout.
Pro-Tip: Getting Your Audio & Intercom Routing Right
To get the absolute best out of your smart cockpit setup, there is one important routing detail to keep in mind regarding your helmet intercom or Bluetooth headset.
When using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, your motorcycle’s display system acts as the main hub for both your visual navigation and your audio experience. To ensure that your turn-by-turn spoken prompts and navigation cues seamlessly reach your ears, make sure to pair your headset/intercom system directly to the Android Auto or Apple CarPlay display, rather than your smartphone.
This simple step guarantees that the dashboard system can seamlessly pass the audio stream directly into your helmet without any interruptions.
